Hello Friends!

It’s been quite a long time since I’ve posted on this ‘ol blog of mine. I took a little bit of a vacation from all of my social media sites and it was much needed. I hit a big milestone over on my YouTube channel earlier today. I hit the BIG 200 subscriber count, which was my dream for Christmas. I have been enjoying making a lot of fun videos for all of you to watch and enjoy. Today’s post is all about the Urban Decay Perfecting Primer that I picked up on Black Friday. If you’ve been interested in this primer before, then be sure to watch my review down below.

Real Technique Eye Brush Kit Review!

eye kit

I’ve been playing with this brush set for the past couple of weeks and I must say this brush set is AMAZING!!

Let’s take a look at the pros and cons of each brush…

Base Shadow Brush – I have used this brush every single day since I purchased this set. It has been so easy to pack on the base shadow with this brush. It can also allow you to move the shadow into your crease very well, if you are going for a one shadow look. This is one of my favorites in this set.

– Deluxe Crease Brush – This has become my go to brush for any blending that I do with my eye makeup. I will usually pack on the crease shadow with the accent brush and then blend it with this brush. If you don’t want the whole kit, then I would HIGHLY suggest getting this brush at least!

– Pixel Point Eyeliner – This has to be my least favorite brush of all. It says it has a pixel point, but I wouldn’t think it was at all. The bristles are stiff enough for it to be eyeliner brush. This has to be my most disappointing brush out of this whole set.

– Accent Brush – If you love putting color in your outer crease…then this will be your absolute favorite brush. I love using this to add even more dimension to your crease eye looks. It creates the most precise are of color and I would highly suggest this brush.

Brow Brush – I actually haven’t been using this for my brows, but rather as an eyeliner brush. It works amazing as a liner brush. It’s great to use to smoke out some liner as well.

Overall, I have really enjoyed using this kit very much. It was right around $20 for this brush kit. It’s not a bad price for the quality and amount of the brushes. I would say that my favorite brush of all would be the Deluxe Crease Brush. If you didn’t really want the whole set, then I would say just get that brush.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed this review. I hope y’all are having an amazing Saturday!

Happy Saturday Everyone!

“3 Little Wonders” By Ole Henrikson Review!

Some of you may remember that I recently got the 7 day sample of the “3 little wonders” kit from Ole Henrikson. Let me refresh your memory for those that don’t remember…

20140722-204610-74770410.jpg

The kit was free from Sephora. I had orignially wanted to try this because their Truth Serum was included in this little package. Let me just say this is my new skin care regime hands down!! It is absolutely amazing! Before I start to review, let me first tell you that I have very acne prone and oily skin. This whole system is the perfect combination to completely soothe my skin and fight acne as soon as it appears. I had one breakout with this product over the past 7 days and it was literally gone the next day.

Let’s take a look at my individual product reviews:

1. Truth Serum (Daytime Anti-Aging Serum) – I already was in love with this product. It has done wonders for getting rid of my dark under eye circles. It has brightened that area of my face up so much. If you don’t want to try any other products from this line, but need some brightening…this will be your best friend!

2. Sheer Transformation (Oil-Free Moisterizer) – I have always had the hardest time finding a moisturizer that didn’t make me breakout, but I have finally found it. This product is so light. It doesn’t even feel like I have it on, but I can tell the difference within my skin with this moisturizer on it.

3. Invigorating Night Treatment (Overnight Resurfacer) –  This product right here has become my new favorite skin care item. I have a lot of scarring from acne and I can visiably see these scars reduced in JUST 7 DAYS!! I honestly couldn’t believe it myself. I always just put more concealer on those spots, but I no longer have to. It feels amazing to know that I have finally found something that can reduce those skin scars and it’s not damaging to my skin.

I would HIGHLY recommend others to try this skincare system out for yourself. You can still get the free sample at Sephora right now! You can also purchase the mini size of the system for only $22.50. I would suggest probably getting this system if the sample is just absolutely out of the question. This mini size has a decent size amount of product that would definitely last you a couple of weeks, if not more.

I hope that you found this review helpful!

Happy Thursday!

First Impressions: Jordana Products

Don’t y’all just love finding rare makeup brands in the drugstore? I know I do. I was first introduced to the Jordana line from watching emilynoel83 videos on YouTube. She always talked about how much she loved the lip liners from this line. I had always had such a hard time finding any of their products in the stores. So, you can imagine my excitement when I found a small display of products at my local Walgreens. I thought I had hit the jackpot. Lol. As I mentioned, this wasn’t a overview of the full line at all, so I was limited on the products that I could pick up and try.  Here’s a picture of the items that I was able to find though.

Jordana Review

The biggest pro I have for this line is the fact that their priced are very reasonable. They are comparable to the Wet N’ Wild line, which I love so much. I was able to pick up at least one kind of product they had in the small display. I picked up the Best Lash Extreme Mascara ($2.99),Easy liner Retractable Eyeliner Pencil in Eggplant ($1.99), Moisturizing Twist and Shine Balm Stain in Cranberry Crush ($2.99), and Lipshine Shimmer Glaze Brush on Gloss in Rasberry ($1.99). Now let’s get on to my first impression of them.

Best Extreme Lash Mascara

I am seriously in love with mascara. It added incredible length to my lashes. I literally started putting it on and was in utter amazement. It’s definitely a dryer formula, which is best for my lashes. I also really like the small brush on this mascara. Overall, I would definitely repurchase this product and it has made me want to try other mascaras from this brand.

Easy Liner Retractable Eyeliner Pencil in Eggplant

This is the first eyeliner that I’ve purchased that has been a different color other than brown, black, and gray. I was very nervous about opening this and it being extremely purple, but it wasn’t thank goodness. It looks brown when swatched with just a hint of purple. It looks amazing with my green/blue eyes. As far as the staying power, I did notice that it was sliding a little on my bottom lashes. My top however stayed exactly the same and didn’t collect in the crease of my eye at all. Overall, I would like to purchase other colors, especially with that awesome price tag!

Moisturizing Twist and Shine Balm Stain in Cranberry Crush

I was not near as excited about this product as I was the eye products. The color is an absolutely gorgeous berry color, but it does not hold up at all. It didn’t stain my lips either. I used this lip color for two days and had to reapply it so many times. In my opinion, if you want an actual balm stain then I would suggest the Revlon Colorburst Balms. They are more expensive, but they withstand so much more with much fewer reapplications.

Lipshine Shimmer Glaze Brush on Gloss in Raspberry

This has the be my least favorite of all the products, simply because of the operation of the product. It’s one of those glosses that you have to twist for the gloss to come up. It puts way to much product out for just one twist of the knob. It also seems to take off my lip product underneath the gloss when I apply it. I’m not a fan of this product at all and I would definitely not repurchase this product. I would suggest any of the ELF glosses over this one.

I hoped y’all you enjoyed my first impression of these products. Have y’all tried this line? If so, what products do you like from it?

Happy Sunday!

Transform Your Skin in 7 Days!

I love skincare products. I also am obsessed with the Ole Henrikson Truth Serum. So of course, when I get the email from Sephora about the 7 day skin challenge including this serum… I HAD TO HAVE IT!! Here’s a picture of the box this challenge comes in.
20140722-204610-74770410.jpgThis includes seven days worth of serums and moisturizers for.  Ole actually developed this particular system for all his clients at his skin clinics. His message in the box says that this system will reveal your most healthy, radiant youthful looking complexion in just 7 days.

20140722-204610-74770560.jpgHere’s a picture of the daily regime packets. You can tell which one goes on at each time of the time of the day by the moon or sun symbol. Here’s a look at the daily skincare system..

AM Step 1 : Truth Serum Collagen Booster (Anti-aging Serum)

AM Step 2: Sheer Transformation (Oil Free moisturizer)

PM Step 1: Invigorating Night Treatment (Overnight Resurfacer)

PM Step 2: Sheer Transformation (Oil Free Moisturizer)

I’m so excited to start this whole skin care challenge. I will definitely give a full review on the fulfillment of Ole’s Promise and each product individually. I got this system for free by simply being a Sephora Beauty Insider. I would love if other beauty bloggers picked this up, so we could all join up to see how it each affected our skin. If you do decide to take a part in this challenge, then please comment below. I look forward to seeing my youthful, radiant skin come out!

First Impressions…Better Than Sex Mascara by Too Faced

I was able to pick up this mascara on Sunday. It was a really good deal. I got a full size and a small Chocolate Soilel Bronzer for $23. This is actually the first high end mascara that I’ve ever purchased. I gotta be honest…I only bought the mascara so I could try the bronzer. Since I did get it though, I figured that I could at least do a first impressions post of y’all. So here it goes.

Better than Sex Mascara

As you can see, there is a lot of product that comes off on the brush. I had to scrape a lot of the excess product off of the brush in order to actually be able to use it. The formula was also extremely wet. My lashes don’t usually take too kindly to wet formula mascaras, but if yours do then this mascara will rock your socks. I will say the favorite thing about this product was the hourglass brush. I think it’s quite unique. I still want to play around with this mascara, especially as it begins to dry out.

Well there you have. My first impression of the Better Than Sex Mascara by Too Faced. I’d love for you to leave a comment below with any other products you’d like to see my first impressions. Thanks again!

My Top 5 ELF Makeup Brushes!

Makeup brushes are essential is making sure that all of your makeup goes on smoothly and where it’s intended to do. You definitely don’t won’t too wide of a blending brush when your trying to put the tiniest bit of makeup in your outer crease. Let’s not even begin to think about how important it is to have the right size blush brush. The 80’s blush style doesn’t need to come back…Please….

I love makeup, but I also have to work within my budget. I don’t have a lot of money right now to buy a set of sigma brushes, however, my ELF brushes are absolutely amazing! I really don’t think this line of cosmetics gets the credit that it deserves. I mean it offers GREAT products at EXTREMELY affordable prices. You just can’t beat that! Let’s dive in to my TOP 5 ELF BRUSHES!

1. Professional Blending Eye Brush

The brush has to be one of my favorite brushes of all time. This is actually the brush that helped me get over my slump of only using one eye shadow a day. This has the perfect size brush to fit right into your crease to get the perfect blended look. It can also easily be used to get just your outer crease, if you need it to. I’ve had this brush for at least a year now and it has held up extremely well. I haven’t had any shedding and it has withstood numerous brush cleanings.

2. Studio Complexion Brush

This brush is my holy grail brush! I would not know how to contour properly without this brush. The actual width of this brush makes contouring effortless. I always used to have to blend, blend again, and then blend some more…but NOT with this brush. It has streamlined my whole contouring process. It makes adding some color to my pale skin so much easier! I have also had this brush for about a year with no complaints at all of brush shedding.

3. Studio Blush Brush

This is my other contouring go to! I used only use this brush for blush, but now I’ve begun using it for my highlighter too. I have one for both blush and highlighter. It’s tapered at the tip, which makes it really easy to highlight right underneath the eyes. It’s very easy to get in corners and creases with this awesome tapered brush. I highly recommend it for those that have never highlighted there face before. It helps you keep the highlighter where you want it, without having your whole face shimmery.

4. Total Face Brush

This is the “big papa” of powder brushes in my opinion. This brush has a wide range of surface area that is perfect for applying face powder. I also how dense the bristles are on this brush. It makes buffing on the powder so much easier. This brush gives your face that airbrushed look without making it look too”cakey”.

5. Studio Eye Shadow Brush

If you want to pack on some eye shadow, then this is the perfect brush for you. This brush simply does what the name says. It’s a eye shadow brush, but it’s brush density really allows you to pack on the shadows easily. It doesn’t take long at all to build up a great color using this handy brush.

I would love for each of you to check out the ELF website for yourself. There are even more awesome products on there for those working on a budget. Check it out for yourself!

Happy Thursday!

Bath and Body Works Candles…it’s an addiction!

20140713-135245-49965286.jpg

My addiction to Bath and Body Works candles is a serious problem. But for real, does anyone else have this issue?

This is actually the first time that I’ve had to buy a new one of these candles in quite sometime. I tend to stock up on these candles during the semi-annual sales. Now let’s start my review of them.

Let’s first talk about the amazing scent that these candles give off. One of these candles can fill my entire 800 sq.ft. apartment with it’s scent. It doesn’t take it long for the scent to fill a room either. These candles also tend to last for a long time as well. I love these candles so much! Some of my favorite scents include..

Mahogany Teakwood

Ocean Driftwood

Marshmellow Fireside

Autumn

Leaves

As you can tell, I really love the autumn scents that come out. I get really excited when the sale comes out for those candles in the spring. Overall, I would definitely say that these candles are definitely worth the price tag. Especially when they are combined with the amazing sales that Bath and Body Works continues to have on them. Be sure to check out Bath and Body Works online to check out all of the current candles they have on sale. You’ll be glad that you did!
