BUSY Weekend!

Hello Beauties!

This weekend is going to be absolutely crazy for me! I will be traveling back home today when I get off at 5. IT’S AN 8 HOUR TRIP!! It’s kind a last minute trip, but it’s something I’ve very excited about doing. I haven’t been home in 4 months. I am so excited to see my family and friends. It’s a business trip of sorts. I’m trying to keep everything under wraps except for my close friends. Trust me though, y’all will know as soon as I know.

I’m so sorry that I couldn’t get the video up for yesterday. I had already previously uploaded it my computer and I accidentally deleted it in the editing process :O!! I was so upset, but it will be okay. Since I am going home, I will be able to do some videos with some of my Youtuber friends, which has me super pumped! I’m also going to attempt lots of vlogging while I’m there. I will literally be there less than 48 hours. AHH! It stresses me out just typing that. I will be drinking lots of coffee to cover up my lack of sleep. Oh, and concealer of course. I will still be posting to my blog on tomorrow or at least attempting too. As well as on Monday. My commitment is always provide my readers with quality reading and watching material.

Well, this is a just a little heads up on what’s going on with me this weekend!

Oh, the Places You’ll Travel Tag!

It’s time for a TAG! I was tagged for by the awesomely creative Beauty by Brook LeAnne! If y’all haven’t checked out her Halloween tutorials, then you are seriously missing out! They are PHENOMENAL!

I love traveling, so I was definitely excited about doing this tag! Let’s get started…

1. If you could hop on a plane to anywhere, right now, where you would you go?

I would go to Miami. One of my best friends is working there right now and we will be going home at different times for the Holidays, so I won’t get to see him! 😦

2. Do you have a scent that takes you back to a memorable vacation?

Every time I smell the salt of the Ocean, it always takes me back to all of my summer Youth Camps! Those were some of the best summers in my life. I would give anything to replay several of those. 

3. If you had the choice, would you rather drive, fly, or take a train?

Drive! I love driving and seeing all of the scenery. I’m the person that always takes the scenic route especially during the fall time. I have ridden on a train once and I gotta say…I really enjoyed it, so it would be my second choice. 

4. Have you lived in the same city all your life, or have you moved frequently throughout growing up?

I lived in the same city all of my childhood and up until I graduated high school. Since then…I’ve been city hopping. What can I say…I get bored easily! 

5. Have you ever been in a long-distance relationship?

Yes I have! It can sometimes be a drag coming home to an empty apartment, but coming up with different ways to connect is very fun. 

6. What’s the craziest thing you’ve done whilst on vacation?

It’s not really the craziest thing I’ve done whilst on a vacation, but rather a mid night road trip. My friends and I decided to take a midnight road trip to the beach at 1 in the morning. The beach is about 4 hours away. We watched the sunrise and then we drove back. Did I mention I had a huge nursing test the next day?!? Ah, to be young and dumb! 

7. Do you get jet-lagged after a long flight?

I’ve never been on a long flight, so I don’t know. Lol. 

8. Dream vacation?

If I could backpack through Europe…then I would be in HEAVEN!! I want to visit some many countries and cities throughout Europe! Let’s start planning! 😉

9. Worst vacation?

Honestly, I’ve never really had a worst vacation. All of my vacations have been really great memories for me. 

10. Would you ever go on vacation to somewhere you’ve already been?

YES! I would go back to New York City in a heart beat! There’s so much more to that beautiful city that I would love to explore!

Calming a Wandering Heart

Happy Sunday beautiful people! It’s Tay here reporting straight from down town Savannah. I had mentioned in my video yesterday that I had a job interview here on tomorrow. I have seriously fallen in love with this beautiful place. It’s full of so much life and excitement. This place is absolutely gorgeous too! I’ve already met several of the local college students that are around my age.

I’ve always wanted to just travel and see the world. This has made me realize that my travel dream isn’t dead. It is very much alive and well within the depths of my heart. I can’t even begin to explain the excitement that filled my heart when my travel this morning. Some of you may not be Christians, but those that are will understand this completely. I have been praying for months for God to sooth the thirst for more than the town that I had always grown up in. He gave me the courage to apply to other jobs and I was actually offered 3 different jobs all across the U.S, but when I got the call for this job…it was different. I wasn’t anxious at all about moving or even seeing the city. I was completely calm for the first time in several months.

I know that traveling isn’t for everyone and most of those in my life think that I’m running…but sometimes you have to live your life regardless of the ideas of others. I know that God planted me here for a purpose…I don’t know why and what will come of it, but I was meant to live in this city.

With that being said, I ask that y’all please send prayers and good thoughts my way tomorrow around 4. (that’s the time of my interview) I hope y’all are having a happy sunday. Now I’m going back out to explore this gorgeous city.

As I’ve gotten older, my birthday’s have become a day to simply reflect on the past year. In the past few years, I must say that it has been a day to simply say, “I made it.” This year, I decided to make a vow to myself. I’ve never lived anywhere else besides the state I was born in. Over the next year, I plan on moving out of my home state into a completely new place. It’s terrifying and exhilarating all at the same time.  I found this quote on my birthday and I had to share it with each of you.

 

I’m not going to lie…this is a leading role behind my vow to myself. I really do believe that traveling on different adventures is needed for any young adult to truly find where they belong. Let me know below if you have ever taken wild traveling adventures. Also, I’m currently looking at random cities to move to. Leave a comment with a city to look into.
