FOTD – Go To Makeup Look

We all have that one “staple” makeup look that makes us look absolutely flawless every single time. I’m taking a wild guess here, but I bet you have the look in your head right now. I’m talking about that look that takes minimal effort, but you get a TON of compliments every single time that you wear it. Well, I’m here to share my favorite “go to” makeup look today. I receive numerous compliments everyday I sport this flawless look. The best part is that it takes me no time at all to throw it together. This would be absolutely perfect for those makeup newbies or even the most experienced makeup artist. Let’s take a little sneak peak at the finished look, before we jump into the whole “how to” list.

Let’s first start off with how I achieved my glowing skin.

I started off with my beloved Benefit Professional. I then buffed on my Revlon color stay foundation in Classic Ivory. This is one of the only drugstore foundations that actually matches my ghostly, pale skin. I’ve also never had issues of it oxidizing on me either. Next step is my concealer. I use the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in brightener. If you have darker circles under your eyes, then I highly encourage the brightener shade. It is more salmon colored, which is great for counteracting dark circles. I set my face with my holy grail Rimmel Stay Matte powder in transparent. This powder is perfect for us oily skin girls.

Now let’s add a little depth to my face. I started out buffing my Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer around the perimeter of my face. The key thing to remember with the bronzer and pale skin is to use a fluffy brush. It minimizes the “orange” appearance this bronzer can leave on your pale skin. Next I added a blush (bottom left) from my Makeup Revolution Sugar and Spice Palette. I also used the 2 highlighters mixed together to create the perfect glow above my checks and cupid’s bow.

Now let’s focus on the eyes, which is my favorite part. I used the Maybelline Color Tatto in Barely Branded as a base for this look. I followed that up by mixing the first 3 shades in the Lorac Vintage Vixen Palette together and blending them in my crease. This will start creating that definition to your eye lid. Next, add the maroon color to your outer v to create even more depth to the look. I wanted a little more shimmer on the inner corner, so I pulled out my Colourpop highlighter in Smoke N’ Whistles. For eyeliner, I simply smudged the last 2 colors on the bottom and top lash lines. I finished the look with my Urban Decay Perversion mascara.
